please be advised that it is the responsibility of property owners to update themselves on the current zonal values of their properties. this should be done prior to a sale in order to know what exactly the NET AMOUNT a SELLER will get after all expenses are taken out. take note that the Capital Gains Tax ( should be termed “SALES TAX” ) and documentary stamps tax, creditable withholding tax and value added tax are all based on “Selling Price” or “Zonal Value” whichever is higher.
sometime last year and early this year, new zonal values were implemented in most areas and this may be re-adjusted AGAIN from what i was told !
please take the time to check with the Bureau of Internal Revenue to avoid any surprises.
